Stream content straight to your TV

The SO G-Stream looks to solve your streaming problems, connecting up your PC and your TV and a whole lot in-between, and taking a bite out of the WD TV.

The unit itself connects into your home network over Wi-Fi or through the Ethernet connection on the rear and to your TV via the HDMI, with Composite video/audio options too.

It doesn’t have a hard drive of its own, acting only as a media streamer. In terms of finding your media, the SO G-Stream will allow you to browse media on your PC for playback (supporting up to 720p/1080i resolution).

It also features two USB connections, so you could have a permanently attached media drive piggy-backed. It also features a multicard reader supporting MS, SD, MMC cards.

It supports a range of formats, with the company listing IFO, VOB, DAT, AVI, MPG, MPEG-2, TS HD DivX, ISO, MKV, MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, OGG (no DRM), AC3, MP4, JPG, JPEG (720p/1080i) and BMP.

Available now, it can be yours for about £90.
