NEWS: Batman: Arkham Asylum Wins Best Game at BAFTA 2010 awards
But Uncharted win most gongs
Batman: Arkham Asylum has won best game at the Bafta 2010 awards.
The awards, which are voted by members of the game industry, in a very similar way to how the movie BAFTAs are decided, decide the best games of the last year.
The game, which sees Batman take on old enemies in Gotham’s asylum, also picked up the Bafta award for best gameplay.
Sony’s Uncharted 2, only available on the PS3 had the most success on the night however picking up awards for Original Score, Best use of Audio, Story and Character and Action.
Other winners included Wii Sports Resort for the Best Family and Social Game and Left 4 Dead 2 for Best Multiplayer.
Little Big Planet developer Media Molecule, won for a second year in a row for its handheld version of its PS3 hit.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 won the GAME award voted by the public as expected. Worldwide sales are so far over $1 billion.
Amazingly Assassin’s Creed II, which was nominated for seven awards walked away empty handed.
The BAFTA fellowship award was awarded to game maker Shigeru Miyamoto, who gave us Mario.
